About Us
We started Prairie Path Soaps because we wanted something better for our skin. For years, we used "soaps” and lotions from big box stores but were not always happy with them. We started researching ingredients and decided it was time for a change. After trying products by small artisans, we noticed a real difference—gentler ingredients, better scents, and a feeling of care in every bar and bottle. Inspired by that change, we decided to try making our own skincare products. After much learning and testing, we landed on formulations that we (us, friends and family) really liked and found our skin did too.
It takes a lot of time, effort and attention to detail to craft and create every batch. We enjoy this process and are pleased that we can share the results of our efforts with you.
Our products are designed to be used daily.
Thanks for checking us out!
Origin of our name. In case you were wondering.
The name Prairie Path Soaps was inspired by the trail near us called the Illinois Prairie Path, North America’s first successful rails to trails conversion*. We enjoy how the walks in nature make us feel…calm, refreshed and happy to have done something good for our body. It’s how we feel when we use our products and hopefully you will, too.
